The Head of State proceeded this Friday, the appointment of a new Prime Minister, in charge of implementing the policy of the Nation and to lead the Government. According to the decree of appointment read on state radio, Joseph Dion Ngute is appointed as Prime Minister, replacing Philemon Yang.
Until his appointment on Friday, the new Head of the Government of Cameroon held the post of Minister in charge of special missions to the Presidency of the Republic, since the government rescheduling of 02 March 2018.
Previously, he was Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations, in charge of relations with the Commonwealth. Function he had held since 1997.
Born on March 12, 1954 (age 64) in the Ndian department, North West Region, holds a Bachelor's degree in Law, obtained at the University of Yaoundé and a Ph.D. Queen Mary College, University of London.
Upon his return to Cameroon, the Law Professor was appointed Deputy Director General of the National Center for Administration and Magistracy in 1986, before being appointed Director General of the National School of Administration and Magistracy in March 1991.
